It Bothers Me When...

...parents don't really let their kids make decisions about who they would elect, but instead use their kids as extra mouths for their own causes: "My four-year-old supports Obama!" et cetera.

...political candidates' commercials and public-service announcements use kids to do their voiceovers: "Will you do what it takes to ensure the safety of my future?" Can't we just leave the kids out of it? I believe it's healthy and beneficial to teach kids about the political process and to let them compare the backgrounds and beliefs of leaders; on the other hand, I think it's stifling for parents to dictate to children that their beliefs always have to be in line with their parents' â€" isn't it more fun and better for kids' development to discuss the issues and let them ask questions from a pure place?

...Maggie Gyllenhaal simply refuses to stand up straight. Worst posture ever... and she doesn't even change it up depending on character. She's always a (literal) slouch, no matter her role. At least if she stood up straight, people could look at her body instead of her face. (Ouch, that was mean. I guess I have a case of the crabbies. Well, I found out today that she is a model for Agent Provocateur lingerie, and beside finding her really unattractive, more importantly, she's a bad role model for physical health. Maybe if she stood up straight... she's really working on an old-lady hump.)
