Some periods of the year seem to drag so slowly... off the top of my head, I'd say January, February, April, and June are some of the slow (seeming) months. On the other hand, why do November and December fly by like they barely exist?
I am always on a quest to make things (projects, for instance) finite, with clear beginnings and ends, but it never seems to work that way in real life. One thing that has a clear beginning and end, though, is the calendar year... and so I am very much a proponent of new year resolutions. I know, especially recently, a lot of people believe making resolutions is just a set-up for disappointing oneself, but I've usually had a great time with them.
My 2010 resolutions include:
- Lofty income (and savings) goal
- Getting pregnant
- Buying a Porsche (maybe)
- Completing at least six 5Ks (or equivalent)
- Swimming regularly
- Meeting my final weight goal (in March or April)
- Writing X words per month (to be determined)
- Showing art with at least one gallery
- Working on a cookbook with Dan
I'm excited to be doing a 5K in a few days... my first ever. I did a half-marathon when I was about 13, which is kind of hard to believe, and maybe I'll do another next year, but I don't want to pressure myself too much.
