The art school I attended taught foundations (drawing, anatomy, composition) before commercial applications. My professional artwork is mostly digital illustration derived from sketches. Book illustration, editorial illustration, and icons now represent the bulk of my freelance illustration. I also recently became a published book cover illustrator.
