April was born in a barn in the late ’70s. After working as a creative in the advertising, gaming, and travel industries, she started her own design and marketing service to help new businesses launch. Sugarsock Illustration & Design operated for two years before she was lured back into an in-house position, designing for a web company (though she still takes on selected freelance work).
In October 2006, April was one of eight finalists in the Cut + Paste Digital Design Tournament, and she recently was invited to demonstrate features of Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 (CS3) at the Adobe Creative License Conference in Hollywood. Her poem El Culo de Bettie was published in the January 2008 All Things Girl, and her photography is regularly featured in MiPOesias magazine and on BikiniMovieReview.com.
April lives in Los Angeles with her husband Dan and a moody b*tch of a dog.
